RSU C.I.C

Our Mission

To support parents who are on lower incomes and who struggle with providing school uniform for their children, so that they can access good quality new and second hand uniform for their children giving the child confidence to attend school without being shamed/bullied for their appearance

The vision behind this project is to encourage our community to become involved in collecting and donating the resources needed to provide our children with the correct uniform, so that all children have equality in the way that they are dressed and in the quality of the clothes.

This supports the children’s personal, social and mental wellbeing as they progress in their educational journey.

Our intention is to bring social services on board to spread the knowledge to those most in need. Equally social services can bring to our knowledge those families and children who need support in finding uniform

WHY IS MY BUSINESS IDEA UNIQUE

I stand by my idea, because it supports putting many back into the community. It is unique because people are encouraged to donate their outgrown and unused uniforms so that they can be recycled and purchased for a reasonable price by families, who are of a low income.

This will give the opportunity to all parents from all financial backgrounds to afford the uniforms for their children. For parents and families that are of low income/benefits/single parent’s and have no surplice income to buy their uniform.

Donors will be encouraged to donate to a specific family that are in need.

The money that is generated will go towards helping schools and youth clubs, to provide activities, sports, after school clubs, providing programmes that teach healthy eating and mental well-being programmes.

To provide morning clubs, where a minibus and collect children from school and trained staff can take them on a morning run, up to 45 minutes.

The children can then be taken back to school to commence school. This gives children a positive and energizing start to their day.

Calming down any stressful issues from the day and night before, or simply to get oxygen flowing through the body, aiding the brain to function in a clear way.

This may also assist children with behavioural issues overcoming fears and anxiety

The children will be better equipped for the lessons ahead.

Doing this will support in lessening mental health problems in many children, helping to support the prevention in crimes, abusive tendencies and allowing the children to have a brighter future and to have a much more positive outcome.
